The network path was not found
June 10th, 2010 Posted in Technical IssuesThe following Windows 7 error kept me from accessing shares on the network.
0×80070035
The network path was not found
Before I started:
- I left the homegroup I was in
My solution (applies to both computers on the network):
- Enable the Windows Firewall service (the firewall itself doesn’t have to be on.)
- Start the Homegroup Listener service if it was off. (Note: Homegroup Listener fails to start if the Windows Firewall service is not running and gives the following error: The HomeGroup Listener service terminated with service-specific error %%-2147023143.)
- If the Homegroup Listener service was already on, do the safe thing and restart the computer. (I did.)
- Join the homegroup after rebooting. I still received the initial error message on the windows share, not until I joined the homegroup did it actually start working.
Hope that solved the problem for you.
